Talk on '5 healthy habits that work' for SAF 7th batallion (Police Department)

Hello Healthizens,

The Police Department is the department which is responsible for our safety and the smooth running of all systems in the city, state and the nation.
I am very honored to inform you all that today I conducted a Nutrition Talk on "5 Healthy Eating habits that work" for about 175 Jawans of Special Armed Forces 7th Batallion.
I would like to Thank Ms.Ruchi Vardhan Mam for providing me with an opportunity to deliver the talk and all the Jawans present for making this event successful and thoroughly engaging.

Case study - 2

Hello Healthizens,

Mentioning the success stories has two benefits -
1) People get motivated to loose weight.
2) People get motivated to loose weight through proper Diet and Exercise!



This is the story of a student who had just finished the exams. With no tutions till 12th Standard Client no XX was for sure a very intelligent girl and a sweet person to talk to.
She came with her father who was very keen on her weight loss but with proper diet and exercise only - It was this combination of theirs that led them to come to a Diet professional which is indeed 1000 times better than crash dieting!

Age -17 Weight - 102 kgs Height - 5'5.5" Month of consultation - April '14

Reasons of weight gain
1) Tendency to gain weight since childhood.
2) Erratic study hours.
3) Active in physical activities since childhood but no physical activity during 11th and 12th std.
4) No signs of dullness of Lethargy
5) No abnormal hunger patterns.


With Proper diet and exercise she took almost 6 months to shed this extra weight and come down to 80 kgs.
And is still reducing.
This is indeed very Impressive!

MSG in a nutshell - Part 1



History -
Was initially derived from seaweed in Japan. 
Is used as a taste enhancer.
Is sodium salt of Amino acid - Glutamic acid.

What does it do-
May lead to 

1) Frequent headaches & Brain problems (MSG leads to excess production of Dopamine in our brain causing Brain to be overworked and our tongue and our body addicted to the taste, wanting to come back again and again)

2) Bloating (Because its the sodium salt - More sodium in food = Bloating)

3) Hypertension (Heightened Hypertension)


4) Weight gain (So now you know why outside food makes you gain weight!!)

5) Liver Inflammation (because Liver tries to detoxify our body by removing the MSG)


6) General Weakness and Lethargy

8) Interferes with vision (retinal cells)

Why do you need to worry-

Beause MSG is present in almost every packaged food, ready to eat food, outside food, if not by the name MSG then by 40 other names.

What to do?

Opt for fresh homemade food. If not fresh even a food cooked at home before 6-7 hours is nutritionally better and less damaging for your body than Fresh Out side Food.
Homemade snacks (fried versions) are also a good option to keep as ready to eat snacks.

LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST MSG AND LEAD LEAD 
TO POOR IQ IN CHILDREN..

When you have an option of choosing choose Vinaigrette dressings or salads with Vinaigrette dressing

Like 'Dressings'?

"Opt for Vinaigrette dressings
instead of
Mayo/Cheese/Butter laden dressings"

Lower in calories by a definite margin!
